Robert Morris University participates in the Federal Direct Loan program for all federal loans.  These loans include the following.

• Federal Subsidized and Unsubsidized
• Direct PLUS for parents of dependent undergraduate
• Direct PLUS for graduate students

All students who wish to use any of the loans listed above will need to sign a Master Promissory Note (MPN).  To ensure that all your federal loan money gets applied to your student account, please complete your new MPN as soon as possible.  Please note that your MPN is valid for ten years.  You do not need to complete a new MPN each year (unless it expires after ten years).

To complete your MPN:

• Visit www.studentloans.gov
• Click on the "Sign In" button under "Manage My Direct Loan"
• Sign in with the requested information, including your Federal Student Aid PIN number 
• Choose the "Complete Master Promissory Note" link
• Complete your MPN for the loan type that you need (Subsidized/Unsubsidized or Graduate PLUS)
