-- On Friday, Sept. 10, members of the RMU campus community are invited to attend a 9/11 Remembrance Program from noon to 12:45 p.m. in the Rogal Chapel on RMU's Moon Township campus.

RMU will be one of more than 100 schools, colleges and universities participating nationwide in the 9/11: Never Forget Project. The project will feature an American flag memorial on the Nicholson Center lawn consisting of 2,977 American flags, each flag representing a person tragically murdered in the terrorist attacks. Among the flags, 443 larger flags will represent and pay tribute to the 403 police officers, paramedics and firefighters killed on 9/11 as well as the passengers and crew of Flight 93.

The flags will be set up on Tuesday, Sept. 7, at 5 p.m. on the Nicholson Center lawn (weather permitting). Any members of the campus community who would like to help set up the flags are welcome to attend. The 9/11 Remembrance Program and the American flag memorial are sponsored by the Army ROTC and the RMU chapter of the College Republicans.
