  Veterans

Veteran, you may have just left active service or actively drilling as a Reserve/National Guardsman. Regardless, you’re now a Veteran student at Robert Morris University. As a student and Veteran, there are certain responsibilities that may need to be taken upon yourself in order receive your benefits. This section of the RMU site is where we would like to assist you with preparing and maintaining your benefits as well as helping you to succeed in your degree progression.

Be sure to navigate through links on the left side of the page. If anything, at least, click on the downloads/resources link to download and upload the RMU Veterans Handbook for 2011 to your iPad (there is a pdf version too). The RMU Veterans Handbook explains each GI Bill benefit as well as additional monetary benefits you could possibly receive. In addition, the handbook has the RMU deployment policy for Reservists and Guardsmen and a yearly checklist prior to beginning a new school year.

If there is any final advice to you, Veteran, be sure to complete your FAFSA by 1 May of each year.

Problems, questions or comments; please, contact Daniel Rota PhD. (Director of Veterans Education and Training Services Center/Brigadier General, Ret.) at rota@rmu.edu or (412) 397-5424, or Heather Jericho (Certifying Official) at jericho@rmu.edu or (412) 397-5498.

You can also find us on Facebook at RMU Vets.
